Who Shot Ya?

Well actually... this guy did



Meet my homie Darryl. Last Tuesday night he accidentally shot me in the stomach with a BB gun from point blank range. Now being shot by a BB gun doesn't sound as serious as getting shot by a real gun, but it is still a gun and still does damage.

The Doctor said I will be okay for now, barring any infection due to the BB still being in my body. From the distance I was shot from, the BB is in 2 inches deep and could not be removed on the spot. Basically the doctor will remove if starts to give me any problems, but as for now I will be walking around with it.

I've been taking meds to prevent any type of infection, which works but it makes me poo. If I said I'm 100% I'd be lying to you, but a lot I feel better now.

I'd like to thank everyone for their thoughts, concerns, phone calls & text messages.

So in the 3 months I haven't blogged I've somehow dabbled into film photography. Since my friends have been avid photographers and my mother had an old camera laying around the house I figured why not. Armed with an Olympus OM-10 circa 1979 & a couple rolls of film, I went to place which I visited often during my cross-country running days in high school. I call it "Terabithia," because how much it reminded me of the book I loved as a 4th grader back in good ole' East Clayton Elementary, not the god awful movie that came out a few years ago.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
This movie should have been called Underworld 0.5
it's a prequel to the two Underworld movies that were previous released

Now I'm actually a big fan of this series, b/c believe it or not I'm into Vampires and Werewolves. But to be honest I could have waited for this one to come out at Blockbuster, it was enjoyable, but from watching the two previous Underworld movies I knew from the Flashback scenes from those what was going to happen. At least it was better than god awful Twilight.

Couple of things about the film:

The parallels are obvious: Aristocratic Vampires (they are the Bourgeois) and the their Slaves the Lycans/Werewolves (they are the Proletariats).

The daughter of a Vampire Elder falls in love with a Lycan causing a forbidden "interracial" relationship.

Productive Weekend

Despite all the recent happenings, I've managed to enjoy life by sharing a hobby with a good friend of mine.

I'm teaching her how to spin in the hopes that she will be better than most DJs I see at the clubs with horrible gimmicks and even worse dance moves. Its been only 2 days and she's learning quick...By the time April rolls around you never know...she might be spinning at a party near YOU!

Intruder Alert

So today my beloved Clayton State University made the news...not because of academics or athletics or even any kind of achievement. It's because we had some crazy mofo running around campus with a gun...so the campus went on lockdown, but the great police forgot to close the side gates...guess what? guy got away

The official email sent to us

"As of 5:30 p.m. this afternoon, the lockdown was lifted.


“After thorough search, we are comfortable that the campus is now safe, and the all clear message has been disseminated. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and apologize for any disruption that this investigation may have caused,” says Bobby Hamil, Clayton State University chief of police.

Both Clayton State Public Safety officers and the Morrow Police Department searched the campus. In addition, the campus’ security cameras were reviewed, and the individual described by the students was observed walking off campus to the west."
